Tips for Teaching Children to Read
Those of us who are avid readers know how it feels to finish a book, put it down, and search feverishly for the next gripping story that will take us away from reality, even if for just a short time before it becomes time to start dinner or get the laundry out of the dryer.

Talking to Your Kids about Puberty
Times sure have changed since many of us were going through those tender pubescent years.  Certain subjects were simply taboo!  Nobody discussed them except at slumber parties or late night during Girl Scout camping trips, and not without a lot of giggling and embarrassment.

Toddlers and Separation Anxiety
Does your toddler become upset or cling to your body at daycare, an activity or any old time she is dropped-off or when you try to leave? If you have to spend more than fifteen minutes trying to calm her down, then separation anxiety is probably the culprit.

Finding Peace of Mind in a Very Uncertain World
There is great adventure in the unknown that propels us to discover powerful parts of ourselves that we didn't know were there.

Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Garlic Clove, Minced
1/2 C Butter (no substitutes)
1/2 C. Cheddar Cheese
2/3 C. Milk

Mix the flour, salt, baking powder and garlic in a large bowl. Cut 5 1/2 Tbsp. of the butter in chunks and add it to the flour mixture and cut it in with a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture has relatively small pieces of butter throughout. Add the cheese and mix, then the milk and mix only until combined (over-working the mixture will lead to tough biscuits). If mixture is sticky, add a little flour. Shape into biscuits a couple inches wide and an inch or so tall with your hands and place on the baking sheet that you roasted the chicken & vegetables on (don't clean it... the drippings add flavor to the biscuits). Bake in a 425*F oven for about 12 minutes until bottoms are golden brown. Melt the remaining 2 1/2 Tbsp. butter and drizzle over the biscuits.
Makes 9-12 biscuits.

There are more women on the Internet than men. Women do more online shopping than men. And women are responsible for three-fourths of the purchases made online. These facts tell me what I already know – WOMEN are the power behind Online Shopping!  With that in mind,
