Creation
As you might imagine, I
often receive email from adoring fans. OK, most of them are people in
Nig*ria who have $10 million they need to deposit into my bank account
or people who want to sell me some Vi*gra. But occasionally, I get
genuine fan mail, which typically goes something like this...

40? Economic Crisis: What to do about it RIGHT NOW!
Not since the great depression of 1929 have we seen such a
financial crisis, and frankly, the lack of national leadership that we
are experiencing now. Banks are failing overnight, Wall Street greed
and the chase after quick money has finally caused this country to
grind to a financial halt. All Americans are worried now — from those
with money, wondering how much their nest eggs will shrink, to those
who need the money in their bank account just to live each month.

Skillet Taragon
Chicken
I made this recently, and it was delicious!
6 skinless chicken thighs
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon onions, finely chopped
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and dredge in flour. Set
aside remaining flour.
Heat 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in large skillet
and brown chicken on both sides. Remove chicken and keep warm.
Saute onion in same skillet for 1 minute.
Add wine and increase heat to high. Cook until liquid is almost
evaporated, stirring to loosen browned bits (deglaze) on bottom
of skillet.
Turn heat to medium-low and stir in reserved flour until it
becomes a thick paste.
Add tarragon, chicken broth and the cooked chicken to skillet.
Cover and cook until tender, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Place chicken on a warm platter.
Add remaining butter and heavy cream to the liquid that is in
the skillet and heat through. Pour over the chicken on the
platter and serve! |

Insist that your child helps
to put toys away while at another child's home. Additionally, you have
the right to insist the same from children who come to your home to play.
You might say, "The rule here is that, if you want to play with the toys,
you must help clean up when the fun is over."
