Inviting Prosperity
by Kimberly Danger
|
Opportunities for good fortune are present in our lives every day, no matter
what amount of material wealth we currently may have. Prosperity manifests
itself in our relationships, social situations, and occurrences that we
simply define as “good luck”. How we view these instances of good fortune
has a direct impact on how much abundance we experience in our lives. |
|
Here are a few instances where
good fortune may come your way:
• Earning a bonus at work
• A friend offering to watch your kids
• Getting valuable professional advice from a mentor
• Finding something that you’ve wanted on a clearance rack
What did you do the last time someone gave you a compliment? Did you graciously
accept it, or diminish it by explaining it away? The last time someone offered
to pay for your lunch, did you allow them to do it with an appreciative
attitude, or did you refuse their generosity? Are you inviting prosperity into
your life, or turning it down? Abundance comes to those who allow themselves to
experience it, and invite it into their lives.
When we purposefully look for evidence of abundance in everyday situations, we
connect more fully with what we truly want. What we focus on expands, and
invites more of the same into our lives. By learning to recognize instances of
generosity and good fortune, paying attention to them, and celebrating them we
open ourselves up to even more situations in which to experience it.
Even if you’re sinking under a pile of bills and don’t have a dollar to your
name, you can begin to experience good fortune immediately. The next time you’re
given a freebie, experienced good luck, given a great opportunity, or a
compliment, savor it, appreciate it, and nurture it. Don’t refuse it, diminish
its worth, or downplay its value. When you do, you deprive yourself of joy and
the ability to recognize that good fortune comes in many forms.
